Voting Rights Act- Call to Action

In Congress, a bill has been introduced to Amend the Voting Rights Act of 1965.This is a bipartisan support for reforming and protecting voting rights. Q&A on HR 3899

H.R. 3899, Voting Rights Amendment Act of 2014 would require states that have shown voting discrimination in the past have their voting laws reviewed before implementation. NC is specifically mentioned in the bill. For more information about the bill: http://www.vra4today.org/

We are asking support from social workers to contact your member of Congress to support this legislation. Use these Talking Points when talking to your member of Congress! To find who represents you in Congress, click here. Remember, this legislation is in Congress, not the NC legislature but can impact recent Voting Changes in NC.
