In celebration of Social Work Month, the Fayetteville Local Program Unit thanks NASW-NC Board of Directors Representative Robert Van Meir, LCSW, BCD, for kicking off our annual Ethics Workshop with an incredible presentation on Ethics in Social Work.
With more than 20 years of experience in Clinical Social Work practice, Mr. Van Meir demonstrated significant expertise in the topic, and his ability to engage and captivate the audience was key to the success of the workshop. The workshop included varied community social worker representation, which included MSW students from Fayetteville State University and Methodist University, NASW members, and new and seasoned social work professionals. Not only did one participant describe the Ethics Workshop as “Freakin’ Awesome!” but other positive comments included “the best workshop I ever attended!” and “Outstanding instructor with a wealth of knowledge. Incredibly entertaining and creates a warm and productive environment.”
The Fayettevile LPU facilitates an annual Ethics Workshop during Social Work Month, which provides 2 hours of Continuing Education. We want to thank Mr. Van Meir for sharing his time and expertise and invite all Fayetteville social work students and professionals to connect and network at our monthly LPU events.
