Attention PLCSWs
Many of you have followed House Bill 1081 this session regarding the title change for PLCSWs. We are happy to announce this bill has been signed into LAW. Effective immediately, all P-LCSWs will use the title Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA).
Please click here for NASW-NC’s press release and here for information from the NC Social Work Certification and Licensure Board.The Licensure Board will be contacting LCSWAs with new certificates and relevant information. Please be patient as it will take some time to get the new title switched over.
In the most current Division of Medical Assistance Medicaid Bulletin, H-Codes extension was announced until direct enrollment is approved by the Center for Medicaid Services (CMS). At this time, continue to use your current form of billing until notified.
