Campbell University’s Social Work Club 2012 School Supply Drive

Written by Chante’ Clark, NASW-NC Board of Directors Undergraduate Student Representative and NASW-NC Student Liaison for Campbell University

Campbell University’s Social Work Club does a wide variety of service project and drives to help those in the community. To start off the 2012-2013 school year the club learned of a need in the community and decided to take the task on.

School supplies collected by Campbell University’s Social Work Club

S.A.F.E of Harnett County needed school supplies for some student and so we decided to do a school supplies drive. So the month of September was dedicated to collecting school supplies. Because we collected more than S.A.F.E needed we decide to partner with another club and pack some of the supplies in hand made drawstring bags to take to InterAct of Wake County in Raleigh. This drive went extremely well. We are proud to say that we helped more than we set out to help.
